Women Theologians Association of Zimbabwe (W0TAZ)
The Pastoral Care and Counseling Services coordinates this important network of women academics and practical theologians
Established in April 2011, WOTAZ seeks to pursue theological development in Zimbabwe.
The ongoing changes in social, political and economic spheres of Zimbabwe entail everyone’s responsibility. Today women even have an even bigger role to play in the society where all the suffering is going on. Women are entrusted with more responsibility through the roles they play in society, churches and academia. This is why women theologians have realized the need to contribute through their knowledge, expertise and service and to make an impact to the community.
What is WOTAZ ?
- it is a loosely structured (informal), interdenominational network and support group for all Zimbabwean women theologians. Members include women who have professional training in the field of Theology at certificate, ddiploma, undergraduate, graduate and post-graduate levels.
Who sponsors WOTAZ?
As part of capacity development of communities , WOTAZ is sponsored and supported by Pastoral Care and Counseling Services, a registered welfare organization in Mutare , Zimbabwe. It seeks to train for healthier communities and healthier tomorrow.
